In 2077 a number of members of a panel of disparate (un)intelligences called "Pile Records," for reasons no longer clear, dreamed, practically in unison, of having gathered a collection of loosely-unconnected music in The Dark Period, which started in March of 2020. They then became aware that the dream created the album in their past.
Seventeen artists, or somewhere in the neighborhood of 17 artists, or anywhere between 12 and 30 artists, anyway, contributed material, some never before heard, some never to be heard elsewhere, some materializing just in the nick of time, to be included on the cassette/CD/eight-track/LP you now do not hold in your hands. The nature of the dreams that created it did not allow for physical manifestation beyond the ones and zeroes (and occasional eights) available in the ephemerasphere.
